Pre Natal Care

Periodic monitoring throughout pregnancy is of great importance to reduce the risk of disease and to prevent complications with mother and baby.

It should be started as soon as confirming the pregnancy and, according to the Brazilian Health Ministry, include at least 6 visits to the obstetrician.

During pre natal it is important to control weight gain, monitor blood pressure and undertake various laboratory tests such as blood and urine tests, and obstetrical ultrasounds.

It is also during pre natal care that the pregnant woman should clarify all doubts about childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding.
